Vehicle mobility restrictions will be implemented for the day of A.R. Rahman's concert and the G-20 Summit...

Digital Desk: The following restrictions on vehicular traffic shall be imposed on the day of the A.R. Rahman concert to be held at ACA Stadium, Barsapara, Guwahati on 1" February 2023 and G-20 Summit on 2nd and 3rd February 2023 to ensure the safety of the general public, especially road user like children, students, women, senior citizens, and differently-abled persons on the road and to give free passage to the emergency services like ambulances, fire tenders.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic Guwahati, announced the following restrictions on vehicle movement in a press release:

1. On February 1, 2, and 3, 2023, from 9 AM to 11:30 PM, commercial goods-carrying vehicle traffic on NH-27 and NH-17 within Guwahati City will be prohibited.

2. Commercial goods-carrying vehicles with 3 wheels and up shall not be permitted to operate on D.G. Road, A.T. Road, and M.G. Road between the hours of 2 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on February 2 and between the hours of 4 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on February 3, 2023. 

3. On February 1st, 2023, commercial goods-carrying motor traffic will be prohibited on AK Azad and AK Dev roads from 3 PM to 11:30 PM.

4. On February 1st, 2023, A.K. Azad Road (Lakhra Road) will only be open in one direction from 3 PM to 11:30 PM. The vehicles may operate from the Cycle Factory side in the direction of Lakhra Chariali. Only Platinum ticket holders, school buses, and emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire trucks will be permitted to enter from Lakhra Chariali.

5. On February 1, 2023, from 3 PM to 11.30 PM, vehicles with "Platinum" tickets will only be allowed to travel in one direction on Barsapara Road from Barsapara Tiniali to Dhirenpara Tiniali. Except for local residents' cars and emergency vehicles, no other vehicles are permitted to enter from Barsapara Tiniali. Vehicles will not be allowed to enter the stadium from Dhirenpara Tiniali.
