One worker, identified as Saiful Haque, was seriously injured while working at the under-construction flyover after a short circuit.

Digital Desk: Another incident of electrocution has occurred at the under-construction Chandmari Flyover in Guwahati on May 17 morning.

One worker, identified as Saiful Haque, was seriously injured while working at the under-construction flyover after a short circuit.

Acting swiftly, Chandmari Police reached the spot and rushed him to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

Such incidents of electrocution have raised concerns among locals regarding the adequacy of safety measures at construction sites.

Following the incident, the construction work at the site has temporarily paused. The officials are investigating the reason behind the short circuit.

A similar incident of electrocution occurred in April when a woman named Romila Das narrowly escaped a near-death experience after being electrocuted near the under-construction flyover in Chandmari.

Romila was crossing the road in the morning when she came into contact with a live electricity cable. She was later admitted to GMCH.
