Digital Desk: On Saturday night, someone attempted to hack the official Twitter account of the Assam government's Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).
The profile picture of bitcoin investor and owner of Microstrategy Michael Saylor was shown on the compromised account (@diprassam).
There were also irregular tweets using different cryptocurrencies on the DIPR Twitter account.
However, the IT specialists later partially restored the account.
We regret to notify you that our @diprassam Twitter account has been hijacked. Although we have partially restored it, we want to remind our followers to refrain from following tweets from this account until we are certain that it has been fully restored officially, according to a statement.
