Digital Desk: On the second day of competitions at the Hangzhou Asian Para Games, canoeist Prachi Yadav and quarter-miler Deepthi Jeevanji each won gold, continuing India's medal run. Prachi, who had won a silver medal in the canoe VL2 category on Monday, won her second medal of the Games with a win in the KL2 event. 

Deepthi then won gold in the women's T20 400m race, clocking a Games and Asian record time of 56.69 seconds. Ajay Kumar (men's T64 400m) and Simran Sharma (women's T12 100m) won silver each, while Manish Kaurav (men's KL3 canoe), Gajendra Singh (men's VL2 canoe), and Ekta Bhayan (women's F32/51 club throw) won bronze.

With seven medals, including two gold, obtained on the second day, India's total now stands at 24 (8 gold, 8 silver, and 8 bronze).

On the opening day of events, India won a stunning 17 medals, including six gold, led by star shooter Avani Lekhara.

Other gold medalists on Monday included Pranav Soorma (men's F51 club throw), Shailesh Kumar (men's T63 high jump), Nishad Kumar (men's T47 high jump), Ankur Dhama (men's T11 5000m), and Praveen Kumar (men's T64 high jump).
