Digital Desk: Assam is bracing for heavy rainfall as the Meteorological Department has issued alerts across the state.


A Yellow alert has been announced for 22 districts, while an Orange alert has been issued for two districts.


The Meteorological Department has issued a Yellow alert for June 25 for the following districts: South Salmara, Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Chirang, Bongaigaon, Goalpara, Barpeta, Kamprup (Rural), Kamrup (Metro), Baksa, Udalguri, Darrang, Nagaon, Hojai, Karbi Anglong, Cachar, Hailakandi, Sribhumi, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Lakhimpur, and Demaji.


The Meteorological Department has issued an Orange alert for the Dima Hasao and West Karbi Anglong districts, indicating a higher likelihood of intense weather conditions.


Residents are advised to stay updated and take necessary precautions.
