From both the Shimla (Rural) and Shimla seats, Congress is in the lead. Vikramaditya Singh, the son of the late Virbhadra Singh, the former chief minister, is in the lead in Shimla Rural with a total of 15,164 votes. 

Digital desk: Congress leads on 35 seats and with this, the party touched the majority mark - in Himachal Election 2022. Counting of votes is still underway.

From both the Shimla (Rural) and Shimla seats, Congress is in the lead. Vikramaditya Singh, the son of the late Virbhadra Singh, the former chief minister, is in the lead in Shimla Rural with a total of 15,164 votes. The counting goes on. Shimla resident Harish Janartha is in the lead with 48.97% of the vote.

On the other hand, in Gujarat, the BJP achieved significant gains in the early stages of counting, surpassing the halfway point in the early trends, with well-known candidates such as incumbent chief minister Bhupendra Patel, Hardik Patel, and Alpesh Thakor leading from their respective districts.
