Digital Desk: A shocking incident of alleged patricide was reported in Guwahati on 4th March , the day of Holi, when a 23-year-old man allegedly killed his father with a sharp weapon.

The deceased has been identified as businessman Manish Choudhury, who was allegedly murdered by his son Riyan Choudhury. The incident took place on Dilip Huzuri Path in the Super Market area of Guwahati.

Following the incident, the accused, Riyan Choudhury, reportedly surrendered to the police. According to police sources, the incident is suspected to have occurred due to an ongoing family dispute.

When asked by the media about the reason behind the incident, Riyan Choudhury refrained from making any statement in front of the camera.
