Dugga was relocated last year after accusations surfaced that she and her husband were emptying a Delhi stadium...

Digital Desk: The government compulsorily retired an IAS official serving in the Arunachal Pradesh government on Wednesday, cited as per sources.

Rinku Dugga, an AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory) cadre officer from the 1994 batch, was appointed Principal Secretary, of Indigenous Affairs in Arunachal Pradesh.

She and her husband, Sanjeev Khirwar, a 1994-batch IAS officer currently posted in Ladakh, were transferred out of Delhi last year after a media report said that they emptied the Thyagraj Stadium of athletes to stroll their dog.

According to the sources, Dugga was forced to retire under the Fundamental Rules (FR) 56(j), Rule 48 of the Central Civil Services (CCS) Pension Rules, 1972 after an examination of her service record.

They stated that the government has the authority to retire any government employee "if it thinks that it is in the public interest to do so."
