Guwahati's Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Project Associate-I. This opportunity is part of an ANRF-funded project focused on cutting-edge material science, offering a chance for aspiring researchers to contribute to significant scientific advancements in Assam.
The specific project, titled "Synthesis of Nano-engineered 2D Transition Metal Dichalcogenide by Fused Hollow Cathode Plasma: Applications in Flexible Pyro-phototronic Nanogenerator and X-ray Detector Devices," aims to explore novel materials and their applications. IASST is looking to fill one Project Associate-I position for this innovative undertaking.
Candidates selected for the role will receive a monthly remuneration that varies based on their qualifications. Those who have successfully cleared national eligibility tests such as CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship), NET (Category-3), Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST), or GATE will be eligible for a salary of Rs. 37,000/- plus House Rent Allowance (HRA). For other qualified candidates, the remuneration will be Rs. 30,000/- plus HRA.
The selection process will be conducted through a walk-in interview, providing a direct engagement opportunity for applicants. Interested candidates are requested to appear for the interview on July 14, 2026, starting from 10 AM onwards. The interviews will take place at the IASST campus in Guwahati, Assam.
