Ahead of the match, A 30-year-old man was arrested for selling black tickets for India's World Cup semi-final match against New Zealand on November 15 at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, as reported by police.

According to Whatsapp messages circulating in various groups, the tickets were selling for between $27,000 and $2.5 lakh, according to the official.

Akash Kothari has been recognised as the perpetrator. According to the authorities, Kothari was selling tickets for five times the face value. Messages were received during the investigation, and documents were discovered against him.
