Shillong: On Wednesday, the East Jaintia Hills district in Meghalaya was agitated by an improvised explosive device explosion (IED) around 1:30 am.
The SP of East Jaintia Hills District, Jagpal Singh, acquainted that one person was in the quarters which was attacked.
The SP stated that favorably, there were no casualties, however, the blast led to damage of resources.
“We requisitioned the Bomb Disposal Squad, Crime Scene Unit, and other necessary units from the Police Headquarters Shillong. We will keep updating as and when we get further updates,” stated Singh.
The purpose behind the strike is still to be determined, and so far, no team has come ahead to accept the obligation.
Meantime, Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui verified the same and stated that an investigation is underway.
