Digital Desk: Television actress Charu Asopa recently shared some marriage advice given to her by her former sister-in-law, actress Sushmita Sen.
Charu stated in an interview with Siddharth Kannan that her relationships with her friends and family have worsened since she and her husband Rajeev Sen split up.
She added that she doesn't even trust her own mother because she didn't defend her. Further, Charu said that Sushmita has always been her support and has advised her to put her happiness first rather than trying to "figure everything out."
Talking about Sushmita, Charu said, "No, she has never said anything like that. She has never advised us to figure things out. Since day one, she has advised me to put my happiness first. Parents have stated that marriage should work and that we should attempt to work out our differences. but never didi. She always said if you are not happy. Do that which makes you happy."
"I haven't bothered her about it, nor have I urged her to convince anyone. But she is family, so she is aware of when things are difficult," Charu added.
"I don't like disturbing my in-laws because they're elderly and my mother-in-law is ill. But whenever the subject came up when Didi called, she constantly advised me to focus on myself. She has stated that if I am happier with Rajeev, I should stay with him, but if I am happier away from him, I should separate," she added.
