Digital Desk: As the scorching heat is trying to swallow Assam's Guwahati city, IMD has issued a forecast for thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate rainfall which is likely to occur at isolated places over Dhubri, Goalpara, Kamrup, and Kamrup Metropolitan districts in the next 3 hours. 

The forecast has been issued in Public Interest by Assam State Disaster Management(ASDMA) to ensure the safety and well-being of residents in the areas.

During the monsoon season, it is common for some regions to experience unexpected meteorological phenomena including thunderstorms and lightning. Such climatic occurrences pose a risk to infrastructure, human life, and property; as a result, the public must be always informed and being alerted.

The importance of effectively and promptly conveying this information to the general public. As a result, it is essential that every resident of the aforementioned areas take the necessary security precautions to protect themselves and their possessions.
