Digital Desk: Hours after surrendering, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Diban Deka was arrested by Chandmari Police in connection with Indrani Tahbildar's suicide case.
Diban Deka was arrested by police at the end of a day-long interrogation for his involvement in the suicide of Kisan Morcha Secretary Indrani Tahbildar after her intimate pictures with Anurag Chaliha went viral on social media.
Meanwhile, Diban Deka's first wife filed a complaint at Pan Bazar Police Station, stating that he married his second wife without getting a divorce.
Deka married for the second time in June without getting a divorce from his first wife.
According to reports, the first wife was unaware of Diban Deka's second marriage, but as soon as she learned of it, she filed a case against him at Pan Bazar Police Station.
It should be noted that Diban Deka surrendered to the police earlier today.
Deka had gone into hiding since the news came to light. He is suspected of leaking intimate pictures of Indrani Tahbildar, which ultimately led to her death.
