Sen won the crucial rallies and gave India back-to-back badminton gold after PV Sindhu won the women’s final. India now has 21 gold medals, moving them up to fourth place in the CWG 2022 Medals tally.

Digital Desk: Almora’s Lakshya Sen has made India proud by winning the Men’s Badminton Singles Gold by beating Tze Yong of Malaysia 19-21, 21-9, 21-12. Sen did remarkably well by winning the last two sets in a cliffhanger of a game at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre.

Sen was brilliant from the second set onwards as his Malaysian counterpart looked wary after trailing. Tze Yong, however, was brilliant on occasion, but in the end, it was the monk-like calmness of Lakshya Sen that prevailed.
