Virat Kohli, India's former captain, recently reached a significant milestone in his international career...

Digital Desk: India and Australia square off in the third test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy in Indore. The Men in Blue chose to bat first at the Holkar Cricket Stadium, but nothing went their way as the Aussie spinners shined on Day 1. On a turning surface, the Indian batting was outclassed. Meanwhile, India's former captain, Virat Kohli, has attained an important milestone in his international career.

Kohli, who amassed 25000 international runs in the second Test in Delhi, has now joined another rare group of Indian cricketers. The former Indian skipper has become the third Indian cricketer to play 200 international matches at home. Kohli is playing his 492nd International match across all formats, and his 200th at home.

Sachin Tendulkar has 258*, MS Dhoni has 202*, and Virat Kohli has 200*
