With this most recent achievement, India has now won a total of 90 medals, including 21 gold, 33 silver, and 36 bronze. Indian athletes continue to make an impression on the world stage, securing their place as the Asian Games' athletic superpower.
Earlier in the day, the Indian archery team had yet another reason to celebrate as the Recurve Women’s team secured a Bronze medal by defeating Vietnam with a score of 6-2. The trio of Ankita Bhakat, Bhajan Kaur, and Simranjeet Kaur recorded a stellar performance.
In the Women's Recurve Team Bronze Medal match against Vietnam, the Indian women took a dominating 4-2 lead after winning the third set 57-50, consequently securing the third-place finish on the podium.
Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Tilak Varma successfully cleared a 97-run target in the game of cricket. India defeated Bangladesh in the semifinals of the Men's Cricket Tournament with their outstanding performance, led India to secure a spot in the final.
