New Delhi: According to the recent update from the Union Ministry of Health, India has recorded 10,423 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. The daily new cases related to the virus is reportedly lowest in the last 259 days. The total tally of cases at the moment stands at 34,296,237, reported since January 2020. The active cases comprise of less than one per cent of the total cases which currently stands at 0.45 per cent.

In terms of deaths due to the virus, around 443 new deaths have also been reported during the same time. This takes the total death tally in the country to around 4,58,880.

As far as recovery is concerned, India’s current recovery rate is 98.21 per cent. It is the highest since March 2020. Around 15,021 people have recovered in a day. This takes the cumulative tally of recovered individuals to 3,36,83,581.

In terms of vaccinations, India has administered around 106 crore vaccines so far. Within this 32.9 crore people have received both the doses of the vaccine. Around 23.8 per cent of the total population has been fully vaccinated.

The testing capacity also continues to expand in the country. Around 10,09,045 tests were conducted in the in the last 24 hours.
