Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a virtual meeting of the World Economic Forum on Monday, said that India is combating the new wave of the covid-19 outbreak with "full awareness."

On the first day of the five-day event, PM Modi stated, "India has supplied 160 crore covid vaccination doses to its population, and India is confidently pushing ahead on the economic front. On the other hand, India's strong democracy has also offered the entire world a bouquet of hope."

"This is the best time to invest in India. Now, India is the world's third-largest pharma producer and has the world's third-highest number of unicorns." he added.

Further, PM Modi claims that large-scale reforms in the country's information technology and business process outsourcing sectors are underway and will be completed soon.

"India's policies and decision-making are focused not only on current demands but also on long-term ambitions." PM Modi stated.

Stressing about India’s growth, Modi stated that the country’s growth will be environmentally friendly, clean, long-term, and dependable.

"India is committed to addressing climate change," he assured foreign leaders.

Several heads of state, including Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, European Commission President Ursua von der Leyen, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, and Chinese President Xi Jinping, also spoke at the virtual event.
