Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Tuesday morning while addressing the country from the red fort that peace is slowly returning to the violence-hit northeastern state of Manipur on Tuesday morning.

The prime minister stated that the central and state governments are working together to find a solution for the violence hit state.

PM Modi stated, “During the recent spate of violence in the North East, particularly in Manipur, many people died and the honour of mothers and daughters suffered serious harm, but there have been recent indications of peace. The country is with Manipur.”

PM Modi further said, "The peace that has been restored over the past few days should be built upon by the people of Manipur. Peace in Manipur will pave the way for a solution. Several states in the nation have experienced unimaginable issues this year. I offer my condolences to all the impacted families and reassure them that state and central governments will work together to find a solution."
