The prime minister stated that the central and state governments are working together to find a solution for the violence hit state.

PM Modi stated, “During the recent spate of violence in the North East, particularly in Manipur, many people died and the honour of mothers and daughters suffered serious harm, but there have been recent indications of peace. The country is with Manipur.”

PM Modi further said, "The peace that has been restored over the past few days should be built upon by the people of Manipur. Peace in Manipur will pave the way for a solution. Several states in the nation have experienced unimaginable issues this year.
