Digital Desk: India is set to make its mark at the upcoming fourth Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China, from October 22 to 28, with a formidable contingent of 446 members. This includes 303 athletes and 143 coaches, escorts, officials, and support staff. The Sports Ministry has given its approval for this substantial representation, comprising 191 male and 112 female sportspersons spanning across 17 diverse sporting disciplines.

Notably, 123 of these athletes will be competing in athletics events. This record-breaking Indian contingent is the largest ever assembled for the Asian Para Games. In the previous edition held in Jakarta, India fielded 190 athletes who competed in 13 events and achieved an impressive tally of 72 medals, including 15 golds.

The nation's hopes are high for a remarkable performance at this year's event, with the expanded team demonstrating India's growing prowess in the realm of parasports.
