Digital Desk: The first T20I between India and New Zealand was called off owing to rain in Wellington. The coin toss had also not taken place. Both of these teams have been eliminated in their respective semi-finals.

India will be without the players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, and Hardik Pandya will lead in the T20Is. The series will provide an opportunity for Umran Malik, Sanju Samson, and Ishan Kishan to demonstrate their abilities in the shortest format.

Harsha Bhogle is dissatisfied with the standstill caused by the constant rain.

The battle will resume on Sunday with the 2nd T20I between New Zealand and India.
