In the Super 4 Asia Cup match between India and Sri Lanka, left-arm paceman Dilshan Madhushanka of Sri Lanka rocked the Indian innings by dismissing Virat Kohli for a wicket.

Digital Desk: India suffered an early setback in their Super 4 match against Sri Lanka on Tuesday at Dubai International Stadium, losing two consecutive wickets of KL Rahul and Virat Kohli.

When India batted first, they got off to the worst possible start, with Rahul being caught LBW by Maheesh Theekshana in the second over of the innings, with the team's score at 11/1. But it was the removal of India's top batsman Virat Kohli, who was clean bowled for a stump fly by Dilshan Madushanka in the third over, that left Team India floundering at 13/2.

While trying to cross-bat a nice length delivery that moved slightly after pitching, Kohli, who had earlier displayed his classic form during the match against Pakistan with his knock of 60 runs off 44 balls, utterly misjudged Madhushanka's delivery and lost his stumps.

Dasun Shanaka, the captain of Sri Lanka, called India to bat after winning the toss. According to Rohit Sharma, he would have liked to bowl first. Making recovery from these early defeats would be extremely difficult for Rohit and his squad.

All-arounder Ravichandran Ashwin replaced Ravi Bishnoi in India's starting lineup.
