  • Low-cost carrier IndiGo experienced significant technical issues with its website and mobile application on Friday, preventing customers from booking flights and completing essential online procedures

India's prominent low-cost airline, IndiGo, faced a substantial technical disruption across its online platforms on Friday, leaving numerous passengers unable to access crucial services. The widespread glitch affected the airline's website and mobile application, causing considerable inconvenience for travellers attempting to book flights, perform web check-ins, or manage existing reservations.

Reports from frustrated users highlighted difficulties logging into the mobile app, alongside a recurring "no data available" message displayed on the website when attempting to initiate flight bookings. Passengers took to social media platforms to voice their complaints regarding failed booking attempts, incomplete web check-ins, and issues with receiving payment confirmations after transactions.

Responding to the growing number of grievances, IndiGo issued a service advisory, acknowledging "intermittent issues" with its core reservation platform. The airline stated that this disruption could impede customers' ability to utilise its various online services. "Our teams are working on priority, along with our partner, to resolve the issue as quickly as possible," the carrier communicated, without providing a specific timeline for full restoration of services or elaborating on the root cause of the technical setback.

The incident marks another instance where a major airline's digital infrastructure has impacted passenger services, underscoring the critical reliance on seamless online operations for modern travel. As teams work towards a resolution, passengers are advised to monitor official communications for updates.
