Expressing gratitude to the President of India, Reddy said he will work towards the development of Tripura...

Digital Desk: Indra Sena Reddy Nallu sworn in as the 20th governor of Tripura on Thursday, replacing Satyadeo Narain Arya who held the position since last year.

In the presence of Chief Minister Manik Saha and his cabinet colleagues, CPM state secretary Jitendra Chaudhury, legislators from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), advocate general Siddartha Shankar Dey, judges from the Tripura high court, and administration officials, Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh administered the oath at Raj Bhavan in Agartala.

In addition to serving as a legislator in the undivided Andhra Pradesh in 1983, 1985, and 1999, Reddy also served as the state president of the BJP in 2003. He was appointed as national general secretary of the party in 2014.

Expressing gratitude to the President of India, Reddy said he will work towards the development of Tripura and work with the state government.

"I want accountability, empowerment, and transparency. After the swearing-in celebration, I shall see to it that the development of Tripura and its people is done with cooperation from the local government and chief minister Manik Saha," Reddy informed reporters.
