Digital Desk: Yesterday, in the middle of the night, a powerful lightning strike followed by a deafening thunderclap triggered a sudden explosion of an inverter battery. The incident  occurred in Madhav Gaon which is a village in Jamugurihat.


At the time, the owner of the house, Biman Bhuyan was asleep at the time of the blast, and suffered an injury to his right eye. A part of the room where the battery was located briefly caught fire, and the resulting battery acid leak spread across the entire floor, causing further damage. This sudden blast created chaos and panic in the household.


Fortunately, Biman Bhuyan and his wife narrowly escaped without serious harm. Their recently married daughters and young grandchildren, who were also present in the house during the incident, were unharmed.


The timely escape of the family prevented a great tragedy. The incident highlights the potential risks of electric appliances during thunderstorms and emphasizes the necessity of safety measures.
