The match between CSK and RCB on Jio-Cinema garnered 24 million audience members...

Digital Desk: Jio-Cinema has broken its own viewership record. The 24th match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Jio-Cinema drew 2.4 Crore spectators, which marks the biggest-ever viewership for the current IPL 2023 season on the online live streaming platform Jio Cinema. 

Notably, on April 12, the number of watchers had already surpassed 22 million. The number of watchers on Jio Cinema hit 24 million in the final over of the match's second innings where the #Whistlepodu team Chennai won the exciting game defeating the red and gold team (RCB) by 8 runs.

The BCCI has licensed the TV and digital broadcasting rights for the Tata IPL season 2023 to multiple firms. Jio-Cinema is streaming IPL matches for free, which aided in increasing IPL viewership on the internet platform.

Going back the final match of the 2019 season witnessed the biggest viewing on Disney Hotstar at 18.6 million, indicating the sheer number of 24 million spectators. The IPL is presently in its league stage, and Jio Cinema has already shattered all prior records. 
  
Jio-Cinema is also breaking sponsorship and advertising records. It needs to be mentioned that the Jio Cinema is attracting top global and Indian companies. 

However, Jio-Cinema has also partnered with 23 major sponsors, leaving the television industry behind.
