In the meantime, Gambhir will rejoin the KKR, which is owned by Shah Rukh Khan.

Digital Desk: Rahul Dravid has served as head coach of India since the World Cup fiasco, and he also doesn’t wish to continue his role. The leading candidate to succeed former India captain VVS Laxman as head coach is his former teammate.

As a mentor, Rahul would be able to join the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), according to certain sources. After accepting a mentoring role with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), former opening batsman Gautam Gambhir has stepped down. Hence, Rahul may think about coaching LSG in the forthcoming IPL 2024 if BCCI doesn't grant him a new position.

In the meantime, Gambhir will rejoin the KKR, which is owned by Shah Rukh Khan. His comeback to KKR is particularly noteworthy because he won two IPL titles with the team (2012) and (2014).

Rahul Dravid took over as India's head coach in November of 2021. He guided India to two ICC event finals throughout his time there. Nevertheless, it was regrettable that team India lost both of this year's final matches against Australia.

In the World Test Championship final, India lost to Australia by a score of 209 runs. Australia just won their sixth World Cup championship in the World Cup 2023 finals, defeating the Rohit Sharma-led team by a margin of six wickets.
