Two men allegedly misbehaved with the victims and inappropriately touched them
Digital Desk: On 11th April, a disturbing incident is reported from Fatasil Ambari in Guwahati, concerns over women’s safety have once again come to the forefront after two Assamese young women were allegedly harassed late at night.
As per reports, the incident took place when the two women were riding a scooty from Bharalumukh. They were allegedly followed for nearly one kilometre by two outsiders on a motorcycle. The accused then reportedly rammed their bike into the scooty, causing the women to fall.
Following the collision, the two men allegedly misbehaved with the victims and inappropriately touched them.
It has been alleged that, instead of helping the distressed women, some local people allegedly assisted the accused in fleeing the scene.
Police later reached the spot, and the accused reportedly claimed to be associates of a person named Gupta.
The incident has sparked serious concerns regarding the safety of women in the state, with calls for stricter action against those involved.
