Digital Desk: Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been hitting the headlines for the last few months soon after her name cropped up in the Rs 200 crore extortion case, that involved conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar.
Jacqueline was recently interrogated by EOW for more than eight hours, and it was discovered that the actress was not directly involved in the money laundering case.
However, based on the fact that Jacqueline continued to communicate with Sukesh after his crimes were made public, it is believed by some that she was heavily affected by the con artist.
She had already admitted to accepting multiple costly presents from the con artist. She kept in touch with him although when the crimes were revealed, she was facing additional difficulties.
According to sources, Jacqueline thought of Sukesh as "the man of her dreams" and even pondered getting married to him.
Nora Fatehi was among the celebrities who got expensive presents from Sukesh in addition to Jacqueline.
But according to Ravinder Yadav, EOW, the Garmi dancer had cut ties with the con artist after suspecting that something wasn't right.
Another EOW representative revealed that Jacqueline's co-stars had urged her to avoid Sukesh. She nevertheless persisted in seeing him and took his expensive gifts.
