Digital Desk: Security forces stopped a truck carrying three terrorists outside of Jammu this morning, leading to a confrontation that resulted in the deaths of at least three of them, according to the police.

Police said the truck caught fire during the gunfight, and firefighters were dispatched to put it out.

"A truck was moving in the neighbourhood in a strange manner. The truck was halted by police at a checkpoint. Terrorists hiding inside the truck fired at security personnel as they began searching it.

In response, the terrorists were all slain "Mukesh Singh, the additional director general of Jammu's police, said.

The entire region was immediately blocked off and all highway traffic was halted following the encounter.

According to police, the interaction began around seven in the morning.

Yesterday, a significant terrorist attack was prevented in Udhampur, close to Jammu, thanks to authorities defusing 15 kilograms improvised explosive device (IED).

According to officials, the discovery of the cylindrical IED, 300-400 grams of RDX, seven 7.62 mm bullets, and five detonators in the Basantgarh area led to the disruption of a significant terror plot.

In addition, police captured a suspect and found a coded sheet and letter-pad page belonging to the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
