PM Modi in his speech praised the atmosphere of the event as energetic, enthusiastic, and full of excitement. 

Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Assam to attend the mega Jhumur dance performance titled "Jhumoir Binandini" and Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit. PM Modi attended the mega cultural event at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium popularly known as Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati on Monday to witness the massive performance of around 9000 artists across the state.

Addressing the huge gathering, the PM gave a reference to his background as a tea seller in his early days and said, "Who will understand the smell and quality of tea better than a chaiwallah?"

PM Modi in his speech praised the atmosphere of the event as energetic, enthusiastic, and full of excitement. He appreciated all the artists for their impressive performances. He added that he too shares a special bond with the tea garden people.

He also played a traditional drum at the mega event. He recalled his 2023 Assam visit to witness the mega Bihu performance featuring 11,000 artists. Conveying his best wishes to the artists, PM Modi on Monday said that it was a proud moment for Assam and its tea-tribe people.

The mega dance event was also attended by Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Ministers S Jaishankar, Sarbananda Sonowal, Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr Manik Saha, Union Minister of State Pabitra Margherita, and other dignitaries.
