CBI is likely to interrogate several other senior police officers on Saturday...

Digital Desk: As the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) continues its investigation into the suspicious death of Assam Police sub-inspector (SI) Junmoni Rabha, the controversial Superintendent of Police (SP), Leena Doley (Hailakandi SP) has been called in for questioning.

Including SP Doley, CBI is likely to interrogate several other senior police officers on Saturday.

After conducting operations at Jakhalabandha last Wednesday, a five-person CBI team recovered a cell phone inside Junmoni Rabha's S-Presso car which was severely crushed after the accident.

According to sources, the CBI investigators visited Jakhalabandha again on Thursday and tested several vehicle parts that were damaged during the accident.




Notably, the vehicle is being kept at the Jakhalabandha police station premises.

According to sources, the CBI also took the S-Presso car's Engine Control Module (ECM) as part of their investigation.

Additionally, sources stated that the CBI called several police officers to Nagaon for questioning regarding the incident. 

According to sources, Runa Neog, an additional superintendent of police (ASP) from Lakhimpur, arrived in Nagaon earlier.
