Digital Desk: Despite unfavorable reviews, Jurassic World Dominion has so far grossed $389.1 million (about Rs. 3,043 crore) at the global movie office. The film grossed $143.3 million (about Rs. 1,121 crore) in the United States and Canada, where it was released on June 10. The remaining $245.8 million (roughly Rs. 1,922 crore) comes from 57 new locations around the world, as well as holdover markets like Mexico ($30.4 million, roughly Rs. 237 crore), South Korea ($21.7 million, roughly Rs. 169 crore), and Brazil ($8.4 million, roughly Rs. 65 crore), where the Universal Pictures-backed actioner debuted last weekend as part of a staggered release.

Even though 20% of cinemas are still shuttered owing to COVID-19 limitations, the new Jurassic World film made $6.3 million (about Rs. 492 crore) in China, making it the highest opening for a Hollywood film since May 2021. Jurassic World Dominion grossed $15.4 million (approximately Rs. 120 crore) in the United Kingdom, $9.7 million (approximately Rs. 75 crore) in France, $5.4 million (approximately Rs. 42 crore) in Spain, $5.2 million (approximately Rs. 40 crore) in Malaysia, $4.5 million (approximately Rs. 35 crore) in Taiwan, and $3 million (approximately Rs. 23 crore) in the In India, where it was released in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, the latest Jurassic film did well, generating Rs 44.5 crore (about $5.7 million) in its first weekend.

However, Jurassic World Dominion isn't the only film that's gotten a lot of buzz this week; 'Top Gun Maverick' is still going strong. So far, the Tom Cruise-led action film has grossed $747 million (about Rs. 5,838 crore) worldwide. The US and Canadian markets account for almost $353 million (Rs. 2,680 crore) of this total. The remaining $394 million (about Rs. 3,087 crore) is sourced from other markets. Outside of the US and Canada, the UK ($63 million, roughly Rs. 492 crore), Japan ($33.9 million, roughly Rs. 264 crore), France ($28 million, roughly Rs. 218 crore), Brazil ($13 million, roughly Rs. 105 crore), and Germany ($18 million, roughly Rs. 140 crore) are among the main contributors.
