Digital Desk: Rahul Gandhi, the party's leader, arrived at the Enforcement Directorate's office today for questioning in the National Herald money laundering case, following a massive protest by the Congress on the streets of Delhi.

The Congress march passed through two barricades before coming to a halt at the third, where Delhi Police used disproportionate force to disperse the protesters. At that time, Ms. Gandhi Vadra turned away from the Congress officials, and Rahul Gandhi and his lawyers began probing. Following that, the Congress leaders sat in the streets and continued their protest.

The Gandhis began their protest by going to the Congress headquarters, where a large number of influential officials had gathered.Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, his Chhattisgarh counterpart Bhupesh Baghel, Digvijaya Singh, P Chidambaram, Jairam Ramesh, Sachin Pilot, Mukul Wasnik, Gaurav Gogoi, and Rajeev Shukla were among the top Congress officials who arrived at the party headquarters in Delhi today to join the protest.

Members of the Congress had previously been detained and put into buses while raising pro-Congress slogans. More Congress staffers are anticipated to go to the streets later in the day as part of the party's display of strength. Prohibition orders have been issued near the agency's headquarters.

The Delhi Police had denied permission for the protest march the night before, citing the "communal and law and order situation" as well as VVIP movements. Congress leaders pleaded with them to reconsider their choice, but they refused. The party then decided to carry out the scheduled protests in Delhi and other cities. Protests are also taking place in locations such as Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and Guwahati, Assam.

The Congress has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah of using the Enforcement Directorate and other central agencies to crush the opposition. The BJP has been accused of "vendetta politics" by the party, which has dismissed the claims against its leaders as "false and unsubstantiated."Sonia Gandhi too has been summoned by the central agency in this case. She sought more time after she tested Covid positive. The agency has now issued her a fresh summons for June 23.

Due to Covid-related concerns, the Congress chairman had to be hospitalised to a Delhi hospital yesterday afternoon.

Randeep Singh Surjewala, a prominent Congress leader, told the media this morning that the government's barricading of the entire city "proves that the government fears us."

"Nobody, including the English and these new overlords, can oppress us. We will march to the ED's office, choosing Gandhi's path and fighting for the poor's rights. For 136 years, the Congress has been the voice of the average man "he stated

He also referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government as "cowardly" and that the Congress is willing to make "sacrifices."
