Digital Desk: Two guys allegedly tossed a water bottle at singer Kailash Kher during a concert in Karnataka on Sunday evening, demanding that he sing a Kannada song.

The vocalist is well-known for contributing vocals to hit songs such as Teri Deewani and Chand Sifarish.

The incident occurred at the Hampi Utsav, which began on January 27. The festival is a first-of-its-kind event held since the establishment of the new Vijayanagara district. The festival, which was inaugurated by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai last week, is divided into four stages: Gayatri Peeta, Eduru Basavanna Vedike, Hampi Virupaksheshwar Vedike, and Sasuvekalu Vedike.

Apart from Kher, the festival features performances by Arjun Jannya, Vijaya Prakash, Raghu Dikshit, Anannya Bhath, and Arman Mallik.

Kailash Kher was in Lucknow for the three-day Uttar Pradesh Diwas two days before playing at the concert, when he sang some exquisite sufi melodies.

Kher was previously in the spotlight after one of his music snippets went popular on social media. On their wedding day, it showed a Pakistani groom singing 'Chand Sifarish' from the film Fanaa for his bride.
