Guwahati: The Kamrup (M) administration has declared the Kamakhya Vidyalaya High School in Guwahati as a micro-containment zone for the next 7 days.

The school principal had tested positive for Covid-19, which left to the isolation of the school campus as a micro-containment zone. The principal is currently admitted at a private hospital in Guwahati.

The containment zone is effective from October 28 till November 4 as per an order issued dated October 28, under the ‘Assam Covid-19 Regulations 2020”.

The school will remain closed for the next seven days for maintenance of public hygiene and prevent further spread of the virus amongst the teaching staff and students. 

Moreover, following the instructions of the Kamrup (Metro) district administration, the most of the teachers of the school had undergone mandatory Covid –19 test on Thursday.
