Congress party is dominating in the Karnataka assembly elections and has passed the halfway point...


Digital Desk: With a winning margin of more than 130 seats in Karnataka Assembly elections, Congress has created a considerable lead over the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. The Janata Dal (Secular) leads by more than 20 seats.


The poll results are being viewed as a possible indicator of the general elections in 2024. Both the Congress and the BJP are engaged in a high-stakes conflict. Except for Himachal Pradesh, the Congress had not won a single state election since the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. And Karnataka was the BJP's only stronghold in the southern states.
