Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, students of a government school in Karnataka's Kalaburagi were allegedly made to clean the toilets of the school and even do gardening work at their principal's residence. The accused principal allegedly engaged students in such activities for the past year.

The incident unfolded at one of the Maulana Azad Model schools established by the Karnataka government across the state under the Directorate of Minorities.

The father of a student, MD Zameer, brought attention to the matter by filing a complaint with the police, urging a comprehensive investigation.

The principal, when confronted by parents, purportedly cited a lack of manpower in the cleaning department.

Authorities assure appropriate action following a thorough inquiry into this disturbing incident.
