Several babies born in the Kendrapara district of Odisha were also named after the name of the Indian lunar mission...

Digital Desk: India's ambitious Chandrayaan-3 space mission was successful on August 23. With this, India became the fourth nation to land on the moon, and it now holds the title of being the first nation to set foot in the south pole region of the moon. On August 23, ISRO declared the Chandrayaan-3 mission a success. The entire country celebrated this accomplishment by the Indian scientists after hearing the news. Social media was flooded with appreciation posts-old for the ISRO.

To honor this momentous achievement, two parents in the Yadgir area of Karnataka have now given their newborns the names Pragyan Rover and Vikram Lander of Chandrayaan-3.

Soon after Chandrayaan-3's successful launch, two baby boys were born to the same family. The couple are from Yadgir, a Wadagera town. The child of Ningappa and Shivamma was born on August 14 and was given the name Pragyan, while the son of Balappa and Nagamma was born on July 28 and was given the name Vikram. The naming ceremony for both kids was held on August 24, a day after ISRO announced the success of the lunar mission.

A family member stated, "We celebrated the success of the lunar mission by naming our newborn kids Vikram and Pragyan."

Similar to this, several babies born in the Kendrapara district of Odisha were also named after the name of the Indian lunar mission. The Kendrapara district hospital welcomed four new babies on August 24, one day after Vikram's successful moon landing: three boys and one girl. According to the report, all of the parents of these newborns have decided to name their kids Chandrayaan.

"It was a double delight. Our baby was born a few minutes after the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon. We have decided to name the child after the lunar mission," one of the baby's father, Pravat Mallick, stated.

According to local tradition, the newborn babies are named during the naming ceremony, which is held on the 21st day after the birth.
