Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has extended the lockdown in the Capital till 5 am on May 17. This time making the restrictions even stricter than the past lockdowns by suspending the metro services.

“The positivity rate has gone down but still we can’t afford leniency. We need to extend to lockdown,” CM

This is the third time the lockdown has been extended since being initially imposed for six days on April 19. Delhi reported 17,364 Covid-19 cases on Saturday.

“During the lockdown, we utilized the time to enhance our healthcare infrastructure. The main issue in Delhi was oxygen shortage. With Centre’s help, the condition is better now,” CM
