Digital Desk: Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a khalistani terrorist wanted by the Indian government, was killed in a targeted shooting in Surrey, Canada.

Nijjar's name appeared recently on a list of 40 other terrorists with terrorist designations that the Indian government disclosed.

After Nijjar was charged with planning to murder a Hindu priest in Jalandhar, Punjab, in 2022, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) announced a Rs 10 lakh reward for his capture.

The Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) was behind the plot to murder the priest.

It is to be noted that Nijjar, who was based in Canada, was the chief of the KTF.

The NIA had previously charged Nijjar in a case involving a plot to commit terrorist actions against India.
