In the video, a man can be seen barking like a dog to correct an error on his ration card.
Digital Desk: Srikanti Kumar Dutta, whose name was misprinted on his ration card three times as Srikanti Kumar "Kutta," went viral for barking like a dog in protest against an official. The correction has now been made to the ration card.

A video from Bengal's Bankura went viral two days ago. In the video, a man can be seen barking like a dog to correct an error on his ration card.

Srikanti Kumar Dutta devised the novel protest after officials ignored his repeated requests to correct his name. The name Srikanti Kumar Dutta was misspelt as Srikanti Kumar Kutta. In Hindi, kutta means "dog."

Dutta thanked the media for assisting him in changing his name from Kutta to Dutta.

According to Dutta, he had to apply for rectification for the third time because his name had been misspelt the previous two times.

"I requested a name change on my ration card three times. On the third occasion, my name was misspelt as Srikanti Kutta rather than Srikanti Dutta. This caused me mental distress "The news agency ANI quoted Srikanti as saying.

"I went to apply for correction again yesterday, and when I saw the joint Block District Officer (BDO) there, I began acting like a dog in front of him. He ran away without responding to my question. How many times will ordinary people like us leave work to seek corrections?" Srikanti elaborated.
