It is to be noted that the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) said in a statement that it has made UPI payments accessible by allowing all payment service providers to access its worldwide system.

Digital Desk: Paytm users will now be able to send UPI payments to mobile numbers on all UPI payment apps, even if the recipient is not signed up with Paytm, a statement from Paytm Payments Bank Limited (PPBL) stated.

Based on this, Paytm app users, independent of the service provider, can instantly send and receive money to and from any mobile number having a registered UPI ID.

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) said in a statement that it has made UPI payments accessible by allowing all payment service providers to access its worldwide system.

According to the statement, this provides customers with the benefit of interoperability across all UPI-based payment apps, delivering a lightning-fast and seamless payment experience. 

"This is a crucial development for the UPI system since it will make it easier for consumers to transfer money to any UPI app, boosting further usage.

We continue to be the leading company in UPI payments, providing users with a solid infrastructure for quick and secure transactions. This supports our goal of promoting access to financial services in the nation, even more, a Paytm Payments Bank Limited spokeswoman said.

How to transfer money to other UPI applications:

• Tap on "To UPI Apps" in the Paytm app's "UPI Money Transfer" section.
• Click "Enter Mobile No. of Any UPI App" and type the recipient's mobile number.
• To send money instantly, enter the amount and tap "Pay Now."
