Digital Desk: This year Lakshmi Puja will be observed on Monday, 6th October , with devotees across the country worshipping Goddess Lakshmi, the divine embodiment of wealth, prosperity, and purity. As per the religious beliefs , those who devote to the Goddess on Lakshmi Purnima are given the blessing of having their wish come true. However, astrologers warn that certain actions during the Puja can displease the Goddess and bring obstacles to one’s life.
As per astrological guidance, white flowers should never be used while offering prayers to Goddess Lakshmi. Alternatively, believers are expected to bring red, pink, or yellow flowers which are deemed auspicious and a source of positivity and prosperity. It is also advised not to use iron utensils for cooking or in rituals during the Puja, as iron represents struggle and negativity.
Devotees should avoid placing the idol of the Goddess on black or white cloth. The idol should be set on red or yellow cloth, which is believed to attract divine blessings. .
