The event, which commenced at 10 AM, has witnessed an overwhelming turnout from diverse sections of the society including political leaders, social groups, cultural groups and even devoted fans. Among the notable attendees of the the event are Gaurav Gogoi, Lurinjyoti Gogoi, Akhil Gogoi, and Ajit Bhuyan and Meera Barthakur and Hiren Gohain and Marmita Mitra among others who offered their floral tributes before a portrait of the beloved singer.
Following the tribute ceremony, a special memorial meeting will be organized to reflect on Zubeen Garg’s immense contribution to Assamese music and culture. A commemorative book titled “Kangchenjunga Zubeen” will be unveiled during the event, celebrating the multifaceted life, artistry, and enduring influence of the musical icon.
The organizers extended to students, teachers, local organizations and the general population requesting them to participate in it and respect it under a decent and peaceful atmosphere.
