A search operation has been initiated into the matter by the officials and further details are awaited.

Digital Desk; One terrorist was killed in an encounter in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter reportedly took place in the Binner area on Saturday night between security forces and terrorists.

The deceased has been identified as Irshad Ahmed Bhat of Pattan, Baramulla.

According to reports, the terrorists were linked with the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Meanwhile, the J&K Police said, "Irshad Ahmed Bhat was active since May 2022 and was linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT."

Moreover, Indian Army officials said that in a joint operation by teams of RR, Para Special Forces, and SOG teams in the Binner area of Baramulla, one terrorist was killed along with the recovery of one AK-47 assault rifle and two magazines.
