Recently, such an event occurred in Brazil. Christ the Redeemer, Brazil's most iconic statue, was struck by lightning. Images of the statue being struck by lightning have gone viral on social media, and people are captivated.

The incident occurred on February 10. A bolt of lightning struck the statue's head. The lightning image was sent on Twitter by @Rainmaker1973. Fernando Braga captured the incredible photograph. It has received over 6 million views since it was posted. The image has received over 183k likes.

Furthermore, the post received a rush of comments. According to one, "Zeus or Thor at this period. Jokes aside, this is a rather common occurrence, being the highest point, and it's simply the luck of having someone shooting photography at the proper time." Another person stated, "Wow! Oh my goodness!"

"What a shot!" said a third individual. "Thank you for sharing." While most individuals were focused on admiring the photographs, others cracked jokes.

"I don't think he'll rise again after that," one said. "Mom!" exclaimed another. Thor and Jesus are back at it!"

Every year, about two million people visit the statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Lightning has also struck the statue in the past. A bolt of lightning struck the statue's thumb in 2014.
