The celebrated boxer arrived at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI) in Guwahati's Borjhar, greeted by a jubilant crowd and state administration members.

Representing both India and Assam, Lovlina showcased her indomitable spirit at the 75-kilogram category boxing finals of the Asian Games 2023 held in Hangzhou, China. Despite her tremendous efforts, she secured a well-deserved silver medal after a closely contested match against China's Li Qian on October 4.

Her path to victory was a testament to her dedication and prowess, with Lovlina punching her way into the finals on October 3. Her remarkable achievement also secured a coveted spot in the Paris 2024 Olympics, making her the fourth Indian boxer to achieve this remarkable feat.
