Digital Desk: Badruddin Ajmal, the MP from Dhubri Lok Sabha constituency, is often in the news for his controversial remarks. Sometimes there is communal comment and sometimes political leaders of other parties are attacked with insulting words. Instead of a social mindset, Ajmal often seen doing politics in the name of elections. Even political critics complain about Ajmal's behaviour and claimed that he does not want an educated society.

It is only in the name of politics that Ajmal forgets the heritage, dignity and legendary personalities of Assamese society. Ajmal's place is on the top whether it is in criminal cases or in the list of millionaires. According to the ADR report, in 2019 Ajmal's assets was worth around Rs 78 crore.

Meanwhile, the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission on Wednesday for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections revealed his current net worth of Rs 155 crore. Accordingly, Ajmal's assets have increased by Rs 112 crore in the last 10 years.

Ajmal has a bank deposit of Rs 48.23 lakh. The investment in bonds and shares is around Rs 11 crore. Moreover, there is an investment of Rs 15 crore in companies and trusts. He has 9 luxury vehicles worth Rs 90 lakh. Except these Ajmal has jewelleries worth Rs 12 lakh.

It may be mentioned that except Ajmal, Rakibul Hussain, Sukur Ali , Javel Ali and several others are also contesting from the Dhubri constituency.
